Parent Teacher Association

The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is a formal organisation composed of parents, teachers and staff whose aim is to support the school and its pupils in all aspects of school life: assisting in the provision of specific resources for the school as dictated by the school management; fostering community spirit within the SVS community; promote activities to support SVS.

The PTA provides opportunities to meet with others who have similar interests to yours. By sharing common concerns you can feel more empowered and you gain an insight into the support needed for schools. Being part of the PTA connects families and the school and results in parental support, making school involvement easier.

The PTA encourages learning, the sharing of accomplishments, as well as shared interests and concerns. Ultimately, the PTA provides an opportunity to serve, to volunteer and to contribute to the welfare of all our children as they represent our future. Membership of the PTA is automatic for all parents/guardians of pupils attending SVS.

Each year Smart Village Schools hold elections for parents to be elected onto the PTA committee as parent representatives.
